Ministry Teams are groups of people who carry out official ministries of the church. Check out the list below to see what interests you and fill out the form at the bottom of this page so we can get in touch with you.
Audio/Visual Ministry Team
Purpose: To aid the worship of the church through technology. This team requires no experience and will provide training in projecting song lyrics, sermon slides, and operating the sound system.
Childcare Ministry Team
Purpose: To minister to families by caring for children from birth through Pre-K during worship services and special events. Volunteers must be Elkdale members for at least one year and must complete the ProtectMyMinistry training.
First Impressions Ministry Team
Purpose: To create a welcoming and safe environment for our church family and guests. This includes decorating the sanctuary with flowers and seasonal decorations. This team also helps straighten the worship center prior to services.
Good News Club Team
Purpose: To teach kids the Word of God in the Selma area public schools.
Good Samaritan Ministry Team
Purpose: To provide comfort to Elkdale church families who have lost loved ones. This team will do this by providing the family a meal on the day of the funeral service and/or as they see fit to minister to families that need to be loved.
Greeter Ministry Team
Purpose: To greet guests of Elkdale on Sunday mornings. This includes, but is not limited to, parking lot greeters, formal welcoming at entrances, connecting new members to existing members.
Hospitality Ministry Team
Purpose: To glorify God by providing Christ-like hospitality at our church-wide fellowships. This will be accomplished through making the necessary food arrangements. This team leads in decorating and setting up for these fellowships.
Safe Shepherd Ministry Team
Purpose: To give Elkdale members and guests a warm welcome as people step on to our campus. This team also keeps a watchful eye across our campus in order to facilitate a safe environment for our worshipers and guests.
Sanctuary Choir Team
Purpose: To glorify God by using musical gifts for the building up of the church. To lead musical worship in both Sunday services. To model Christ-centered worship for our church and community.
Stephen Ministry Team
Purpose: To visit the hospitals, homebound, and nursing homes in order to minister to the needs of our faith family.
Wednesday Night Meal Team
Purpose: Regularly schedule meals for our church family on Wednesday nights. Assist the church in the upkeep of the kitchen.
Worship Band Team
Purpose: To glorify God by using musical gifts for the building up of the church in both Sunday services. To model Christ-centered worship for our church and community through the playing of instruments and/or singing to aid in corporate worship.
